The main difference between a laptop and netbook is the size. A laptop, also referred to as a notebook, is a portable computer which features a hinged screen, keyboard, battery and touchpad. A netbook, on the other hand, is a mini laptop which is smaller in size and weight when comparing to a regular laptop.
